Fishing Report January 2025
Syre employees have been busy over the Winter months carrying out annual maintenance and spending time to freshen up the properties as we look forward to the season ahead and welcoming our guests.
After very low temperatures of -18.9 degrees in Altnaharra at the beginning of January, the weather made an unexpected change. The sudden rise in temperature quickly thawed the snow resulting in the water level of the River Naver rising over six feet.
The 2025 fishing season has already commenced with the first cast on the River Naver taking place this week at Bettyhill Angling Club, by the youngest angler ever to have done so. We hope for a successful season to follow.
