Fishing Report - January 2019
The winter weather until now has been mild with very little frost and hardly any snow on the tops, with temperatures in the teens over the Christmas and New Year period. The 2019 fishing season is now underway with the braver anglers amongst us casting a line for the first time of the year. Kelts had been caught with no spring fish being banked, until this beautiful 16lb Springer was landed on Saturday 19th.
The Naver is the first northern river of 2019 to land a fish and the earliest the Naver in last 10 years and only one of 4 fish caught in January in the last 10 seasons.
What a fantastic start to the 2019 season!
