Fishing Report May 2021

Fishing Report May 2021

After a year of no updates, largely due to lockdown and limited fishing, we are back with the River Naver monthly fishing updates. The year got off to a slow start. Unsettled weather made for challenging conditions and the weather remained unseasonably cold through the spring and into May. Early catches were reported from mid-February, however the season had a high of 66 fish caught across the 6 beats in the second week of May. The majority of the fish caught have been reported to be in excellent condition. Looking forward, weather conditions are set to be those expected in summer, and whilst this is not always ideal for fishing, it is a welcome break from what we have had so far.
