We have had the Beast from the East! Bringing bitterly cold wind, ice and snow in February. March started to improve with a cold and unsettled month but sunshine starting to show. April brought us more unsettled weather, with snow, ice, wind, sunshine and April showers! May has finally seen some heat and sunshine but not a lot of rain, making the river very low of water at times. Will we ever get perfect conditions! This has had an impact on the fish coming up the river. Notwithstanding this, the largest fish caught this month was a 15lb’er.

Helen proudly displays her catch.
